My friend, ~twiSZtad, decided to interview me because I don't often say much about my art and I do get asked the same things over and over again...

I hope I make sense I came out sounding so pretensions
Anyway here is my babble...

What is art?

An attention seeking entity.

What in your opinion is good art?

Something exceptional enough to engulf your focus, for me it’s a combination of attractiveness, technique and your closeness to it subjectively.

What do you want to achieve with your art?

I want to create pieces that inspire by blazing with beauty. Like an amazing movie or a remarkable song that just captures your heart and makes you consume it over and over again. I want to achieve that with my art. I want to make something that you can stare at forever without getting bored. Something that you can fall in love with its sheer exquisiteness

Why do you do art?

It allows me to feel obsessed and engulfed in my own imagination which is a very enchanting place, it completes me. It allows me to meeting cool people, as I am a very shy person. I really enjoy the concept that I am providing entertainment to others and when I am gone fragments of me will remain, its my devious attempt at immortality.

What inspires you?

I don’t really regard my work as being expressive in anyway so it’s not really emotions that inspire me but more the escapism of getting lost it in. It’s my precious sanctuary where I feel invincible. I enjoy that adrenalin buzz of personal pride when you feel that you have out done yourself.

Is your work intentionally disturbing?

No not at all. I like to mix realism with abstraction in a way that replicates patterns in nature, I also like to morph things together like scenes in a dream and make a more liquid reality. I know that this technique sometimes makes monsters and mutants, this is mostly unintentional. I do think that there is a fair amount of beauty in ugliness and I every so often play with this idea.

Fish and eyeballs?

Nature documentaries got my into fish, their liquid habitat makes them so alien to us, they are not subjected to our land-bound rules. So in colour form and shape they can provide us with unparalleled fascination. I really want to reflect their graceful splendour.

I started drawing eyeballs for as long as I remember, mainly because I loved the patterns in the zonular fibers and the reflection off the cornea. To me the rest of the eyeball is beautiful; white sphere like an egg or a table tennis ball. It appeals to my aesthetics.

Will you ever stop?

I hope not I once did and it was like my world lost its lava, everything just cooled down to lonely cooling cracking rock.

What do you hate the most about producing art?

1) Making flops and not knowing why.
2) When you are 90% done and it does not look right and you over-work it and spoil it.
3) Knowing that online is the only place you can exhibit it, as the art fraternity does not recognize it as art.

Tell me about your technique?

I have a tablet PC which is basically a laptop with no mouse, I’ve got a pen/stylus which I use to draw directly on the screen as my mouse pointer. I do digital painting which is literally "paint" using Photoshop’s brushes and techniques. I love the medium because it gives you so many advantages over traditional painting as well as it being very cutting edge technology.

What is the meaning of your work?

I find the whole artist explaining the meaning of their own works rather ridiculous. It means that if there is a meaning it’s not obvious. Non-obvious meanings are ambiguous or discriminatory. I don’t feel that there has to be a meaning or a global one that applies to its audience. I do include things that have relevance to me but that’s personal. I just want to be appreciated for the time taken and the skill involved and the general beauty of it. If it speaks to you then it was well worth everything that I put into it.
