Evolution - a bored gameby ~8025glome

*PLEASE FULL VIEW* ( I know its big so sorry but it's worth it)

I have been working on this full time for four months, during my sabbatical from real work. The entire thing is painstakingly digitally painted without references for countless hours.

The concept was from snakes and ladders and works as a functional board game. One can play with a dice and advance block by block depending on the value you threw. If you reach another path on the block that you are on, you either pass directly to the next block if you are going forward, or get demoted if the path goes backwards.

The game resembles life, and all the paths of life. The blocks resemble the nature of the world that we know, with various things depicting the various facets of life, awe and mysterious, beauty and ugliness of reality. This image is huge and due to image size I can only put up a very reduced version of this image, the entire size of the image is 9000 X 9000px. I’ll put up details of various pieces of this opus in due course.
